Ek Dham Yatra 2026

Ek Dham Yatra refers to visiting any one of the four pilgrimage destinations of Uttarakhand – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, or Yamunotri. Travellers choose the destination based on their preferences, travel duration, and accessibility.

Badrinath Yatra 2026

Badrinath is one of the four sacred shrines of the Char Dham Yatra and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Badrinarayan. The temple is located in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand and is an important pilgrimage destination for Hindus.

According to Hindu scriptures and traditions, Badrinath holds great religious significance. Pilgrims visiting Badrinath can also explore nearby attractions such as Tapt Kund, Mata Murti Temple, Bheem Pul, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and the Panch Prayag.

The Badrinath Temple generally remains open for about six months each year, usually from April or May to October or November, subject to the annual schedule announced by the temple authorities. The temple is accessible by road, and vehicles can travel up to the main town. A typical Badrinath Yatra from Haridwar can be completed in 2 nights and 3 days, depending on the itinerary and road conditions.

We also assist travellers in arranging Badrinath helicopter tours from Dehradun through authorized helicopter operators, subject to availability and government regulations.

Kedarnath Yatra 2026

Kedarnath is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in Uttarakhand and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and forms an important part of the Char Dham Yatra.

The motorable road extends up to Sonprayag, which is approximately 215 km from Haridwar. From Sonprayag, pilgrims travel to Gaurikund by local shared vehicles, and from Gaurikund there is a trekking route to Kedarnath.

The trekking route has facilities such as refreshment shops, toilets, rest shelters, medical assistance centres, and emergency response services at various locations. Pilgrims can also choose helicopter services from the Guptkashi and Phata areas through authorized helicopter operators.

The duration of the Kedarnath Yatra depends on the mode of travel, itinerary, and weather conditions. Most itineraries range from 2 nights and 3 days to 3 nights and 4 days.

Gangotri Yatra 2026

Gangotri is another important pilgrimage destination of the Char Dham Yatra and is located approximately 275 km from Haridwar. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and attracts pilgrims from different parts of India.

According to Hindu traditions, Gangotri is associated with the descent of the river Ganga to earth. The source of the river, known as Gaumukh, is located further upstream and can be reached by trekking.

Gangotri is accessible by road, and vehicles can travel up to the temple area. The temple generally opens every year on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, subject to the schedule announced by the temple authorities.

Yamunotri Yatra 2026

Yamunotri is located approximately 265 km from Haridwar and is one of the four pilgrimage destinations of the Char Dham Yatra. The motorable road extends up to Janki Chatti, from where pilgrims undertake a trek to Yamunotri.

The Yamunotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and holds religious significance for Hindu pilgrims. Nearby attractions include Surya Kund, a natural hot water spring, and Divya Shila, which is worshipped before entering the main temple.

The Yamunotri Temple generally opens every year on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, subject to the schedule announced by the temple authorities.
